This course introduces institutional planning and some of the performance metrics often used. It aims to explore the practice of university planning for those in technical lead roles who wish to develop a deeper understanding of university planning. The course takes a high-level and comprehensive approach, offering broad coverage of key concepts and practices. 

Objectives

The course objectives are to help participants learn more about:

• key elements of the processes and efforts involved in university planning, including guiding principles and planning cycles 

• where, when and how to engage in planning activities

• common metrics used in institutional planning

• areas of focus when interpreting and applying performance metrics
