Welcome to Mrs. Hale's Classroom Website
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year at Anne J. MacArthur Public School, I am thrilled to begin my sixth year teaching at our outstanding school! I look forward to working together with you in order to guide your child on his/her academic journey and individual path to success in Grade 4 this year. This website will be a place where both students and parents can review learning goals and expectations, refer to upcoming homework and assignments, keep connected with dates and events at the school, and explore educational links to review and practise concepts taught in class. Please feel free to contact me, or Mlle McKay, if you have any questions by writing a note in your child's agenda, sending an email: firstname.lastname@example.org (Mrs. Hale) and email@example.com (Mlle McKay); or by phoning the school.
Meet the Teacher:
Here is a little bit about me...
I grew up in Oakville and went to McMaster University for my undergraduate degree and I attended Brock University for teacher's college.
This will be my tenth year teaching within the Halton District School Board, and I enjoy coming to work to teach and learn with my students each day. I have taught Grades 4, 5 and 6 within the French Immersion program for the past eight years. Education should be engaging and enjoyable. I strive to create a learning community within my classroom which promotes a growth mindset, in order for all students to feel valued and safe to take risks and to be successful.
In my free time, I like to read, travel to the cottage and enjoy time on the beach. I also like to play golf and tennis. Below is a picture of me with my dog Alvin. He is a 'Juggle' = Beagle/Jug (Jack Russell/Pug). I live in Guelph and spend a lot of my time hiking in the beautiful nature trails within the area. This summer I travelled to Hilton Head for a week in August where I enjoyed the beautiful ocean view. You will find a picture of the beach below.
