If you have a concern about your child consuming the hot chocolate, please let me know.

Grade 8 History - How should we remember Confederation due on Thursday
We have decided as a class to do a secret gift exchange for the holidays this year. The students agreed to a $10-$15 limit and we will be doing our gift exchange on Friday December 15. We are still working out the details about "wish lists". There are some students who have opted out of participating. If you do not want your child to participate, please let me know.
Friday December 8
Pilgrim Wood is running a toy drive for the holiday season. Our grade 5/6 gifted class has organized this for the whole school, and our hope is to have at least 500 toys donated. This event will be running until Monday December 18.
Grade 8 - Abbey Park option sheets are being sent home today. Please take the time to read over the teacher recommendations and check off your choices for academic or applied level classes, along with the arts course and technology course. Please return these sheets to Mrs. Cormier by Wednesday December 20. We ask that all students complete this form, even if they are possibly attending another school within HDSB or another school board. Thank you!

Ottawa Trip commitment forms and deposit (Grade 8's) are due on Monday November 20. Please return the forms even if your child is not planning on attending the trip.

-Students will need the following for class: Binder with paper (either one large binder with dividers for each subject or multiple smaller binders - whatever you feel is best for your child), pencil case with all necessary materials, a calculator if they have it (I am trying to have the students use a regular calculator this year, and not use the one on their personal devices. If your child does not have a calculator, we do have extras in the class), a book to read (I will have books available in the classroom, plus we will have the opportunity for library visits, so it will be required that each student has a book with them)
