You may use any Canadian retailer for parts and your final total (after tax) must be within their budget. The closer to their budget number, the better (for your mark).
You can assume that they have no reusable parts from another system, so that means you'll be buying a monitor, keyboard, mouse, operating system and anything else you need to create a working computer.
1. Sylvain is a graphic design artist. He is looking to get a new computer for work. The projects he is working on are usually very large, multi-media files. In addition, he sometimes needs to visit clients to show them the work he has been completing for them. Budget: $2000
2. Brittany is a retiree who needs a new computer. Her primary use for the computer will be e-mail and internet searches. She has also recently purchased a very expensive digital camera which she brings to all of her family events. It would be a shame for those pictures to ever be lost. Budget $750.
3. Fatima has made a decision to change careers. She wishes to become a professional gamer with an online Twitch presence. She plays a variety of games, but mostly plans to stream her performances on FPS games. Budget $3000
4. Bill is a student leaving for University in the fall. He will be studying programming. He needs a computer that will allow him to pursue his education, stream video, play the occasional video game and video chat with his family and friends at home. Budget: $1000.
5. Hannah and Yang are purchasing a home computer for their young family. Their children are in primary school and need the computer for school projects. Hannah will be using the computer for taxes and paying bills. Budget: $1200
