A Message from the Director of Public Relations:

"I would like to thank our parents and community for their continued support. Each of us plays a role in the success of our school system. As long as we all remain committed to the success of our children, there will be no limits to what they can achieve."

- Jodie Bryant

What is School Public Relations?

It is providing honest, transparent communication that will support meaningful, working relationships with our students, parents, and community.

We accomplish this through media relations, employee communications, community involvement, relationship building, and crisis management.

“The actions and words of everyone involved with schools create the images and forge the relationships that build the reputation of schools.” -NSPRA

Effective communication begins with solid research and a strategic plan.

The RPIE Process:

  • Research
  • Planning
  • Implementation
  • Evaluation

Raising student achievement requires the community to work together to support student success.

Some of our community partners:

  • Partners in Education
  • Hoke County Schools Education Foundation
  • The Raeford-Hoke Chamber of Commerce
  • The NC Fall Festival

OUR STORY

Hoke County Schools believes that every child, no matter where they live or how much money their family makes, should receive an education that will open doors to a future they could otherwise only dream of. We believe that poverty is not an excuse as to why our children can’t succeed, but it is the reality of why we should work even harder to make sure they do succeed. We believe that it is the people in our buildings who will make the difference in a child’s life, not programs we put in place. We believe that we are called to be servant leaders in the education field - to serve our students, our families and our communities; because we understand that the public school system is the cornerstone of a thriving nation. Our students will grow up to become the next generation’s doctors, professors, senators, business owners, and leaders.

In Hoke County, we know that we must be innovative and take calculated risks to make the most of our resources.

Hoke County Schools has worked to build relationships with the community and with our families because we understand that our students can only be successful if we work together under the philosophy that we are one team with one goal, and that goal is to make ALL of our students prepared for college, a career, and life.
