Welcome Back!

Welcome to the second part of kindergarten! We have had such a great year so far! We are growing and we are learning each and every day!

We are learning to become such great readers while reading our emergent texts each day. We are also learning to connect to the text we are reading and retell key details and information we learned from the text. We are also becoming great writers, and we are challenging ourselves to writer more than one thought on the same paper. Some things we are currently working on in addition to these things are:

Meet Mrs. Cook

About me:

Please allow me to tell you all about myself. First, I am so very excited to be teaching kindergarten at Don Steed Elementary School for the 2017-2018 school year. My name is Jenae Cook. I am fairly new to Hoke County. I am from Missouri, but I have lived in several places and states due to being an army wife. I am the mother of two beautiful little girls, and the step mother of a handsome little boy. I graduated from the University of Colorado in December of 2015. This is my second year at Don Steed, but my first full year, and my first year in kindergarten.

First off I love being a mommy. I love being a military wife, and getting to travel and live in new places. I love to be outside. I really enjoy working out and staying active. And, lastly I love to read.
