Becoming a Citizen

Joe has lived in the United States for 25 years and wants to become a U.S. citizen because he knows there are benefits that U.S. citizens have because they are citizens. Joe just found out that he has to take a test on U.S. history and government in order to be chosen to be a citizen and he is nervous because he moved here as an adult and didn't go to school like you have. Can you help Joe study for his test?

Solve the clues to find the answers to the ten questions that the naturalization officer will ask him. These clues will help you unlock the locks and navigate his path to becoming a full citizen of the United States.

The navigation bar for the site is along the top of the page. To move to another page, you should hover along the top of the page and click on different page links. Additionally, there is a pull-down "more" tab on the far right which will show you the pages which do not show up on the horizontal navigation bar.

You will find clues to different locks in different places. Some pages have multiple clues, while others have one. Decide as a team how to best tackle the clues and breakout in the time allowed.
