The Music Curriculum of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is designed to broaden a student's general knowledge of basic musical skills and concepts at all levels of elementary education.
Through participation in the music program, students are lead in a deeper appreciation of liturgy, ethnic cultures, and musical styles. Music holds a prominent place in the spectrum of the Arts and is of paramount importance in the development of the whole child.
We follow the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Music Curriculum for each grade and The National Standards for Music Education.
We explore rhythm, melody, movement, listening skills, performance, reading and writing of music notation through singing and playing instruments.
The students also learn the music of the Catholic church throughout the liturgical year.

We follow the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Music Curriculum for each grade and The National Standards for Music Education.
We continue expanding on our musical concepts for each grade level in the same areas as K-3rd grade. We talk about different styles of music as well as how to compose our own musical pieces. The students also learn the music of the Catholic church throughout the liturgical year. The students are graded on our lessons through cooperation, participation, assignments and assessments. Each class has a google classroom page.
