Hello Clarksville ES and Fulton ES students and parents - welcome to Mr. Aleksei's new website. On this website, you will find your school's daily class schedule with times and locations, helpful video demonstrations for your instrument, other digital resources that can help better prepare you for class, and other resources including a private teacher list.
About Mr. Aleksei
Wyeth Aleksei, Band Teacher at Clarksville Elementary School and Fulton Elementary School, began his career as a trumpet performer. Graduating from Reservoir High School, he went on to receive a Bachelor of Music from the Oberlin Conservatory and a Master of Music at the Juilliard School; both degrees were in trumpet performance.
When performances were cancelled and new opportunities dried up due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Mr. Aleksei was evolving into a music educator. Completing courses at the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University to obtain a teacher's certificate, he began to teach in Howard County in the 2022-2023 school year.
Over the years, Mr. Aleksei has studied with dedicated teachers, both on the trumpet and in music education. His teachers included Chris Martin, Mark Gould, Raymond Mase, and Roy Poper on the trumpet; Dr. Harlan Parker and Dr. Laura Parker in wind conducting and music pedagogy.
