Harlingen CISD offers a Honors Mathematics Program for middle school students who demonstrate strong math skills and a readiness for accelerated learning. The program is designed to prepare students to take Algebra I in 8th grade, giving them early access to high school math courses. Placement is based on classroom grades, STAAR scores, and other academic indicators. Honors Math helps build confidence, problem-solving skills, and a strong foundation for future advanced coursework.

Topic Family Guide: Provides an overview of the mathematics in the topic, how the math is connected to what the student(s) already know, and how the new knowledge will be used in future learning.
Topic Summary: Includes all key terms in the topic, as well as a summary including examples for each lesson within the topic.
Mathematics Glossary: Houses all of the Carnegie Learning terminology and definitions, along with pictorial references.
