    1. Read about your project sponsor, the Industrial Farmhouse and what is the key to their success:

    2. Check out digitally fabricated furniture designs by AtFAB for inspiration:

    3. Do your own Google image searches for ideas with keywords like: “digitally fabricated furniture”, “google office furniture”

    4. Complete at least three design concept sketches to share with your sponsors for feedback

      • “Ford” - basic features

Budget and Design Review

We will use our STEM III budget to fund the purchase of materials for the student lounge. Here are the details.

1. Budget. The total budget is flexible. I envision spending $500 for the project but we could spend more if your team makes a compelling case.

2. Proposal. Your team should propose your plan for the budget. You may propose ideas that exceed $500, however, prioritize your design ideas so the most important items are funded. For example:

1. Paint Walls - $100

2. Lighting - $40

3. Custom Storage System - $150

4. Furniture - $70

3. Design Review. You should complete your design proposal and conduct a review with Stanley no later than February 1st. It is your responsibility to schedule this design review with Stanley and I recommend you accelerate this review. Provide sufficient detail for each line item (e.g., a slide for each item that breaks down the costs). Stanley will approve your plan and this is the work your teams must complete per the project rubric.

Budget Update

See receipts for purchases below. Use these receipts to manage your project budget and account for these costs in your budget summary in your final presentation.
