Week of March 9, 2020

Accelerated Reader update- Our next goal is approaching quickly. The 3rd grade goal for the 2nd marking period (ends March 16) is 38 points.

JiJi Math update- I put some of our "school" JiJi content into the JiJi homework folder. If your child has not completed 66% of the program, there will be homework available for them to do to "catch up." The goal is to complete the program by the end of the school year.

Thanks for your support at home with multiplication and division practice. It is important that students are practicing facts nightly for homework. Students will be tested each Friday on their facts goal. Once students have completed "Top 21" multiplication and division (the last goal) they will be on "maintenance." That means they should continue to practice, making sure facts are memorized. This Friday students that have passed all of their multiplication goals will take an All Facts 0-10 multiplication quiz.

We still have two more field trips this year. On April 23, we will visit the Bolsa Chica Wetlands. On June 9, we will take a trip to the Centennial Heritage Museum/ Kellogg House.
