Part 2 - Discuss the following with your family.
A family treasure or artefact is something special that represents who you and your family are, where they have come from or how they identify themselves. It can be passed down from generations or it can be something cultural/religious.
Do you have a family treasure or artefact you can share with the class? Discuss this with you family and see if you are able to bring it to school? How do you need to look after it?
I will let you know when to bring your family treasure or artefact to school
What is it made of? Do you know of anything else made of that?
Is it old or new?
Does it remind you of anything you have seen before?
What do you think it was/is used for?
How does the object make you feel?
Where do you think it might have come from?
