About the artist

This year’s artist is Faye Garlick.

Faye studied in Wellington and gained a diploma in Art and creativity from The Learning Connection Art school.

Faye is a multimedia artist. She has practiced her creativity using art mediums such as designing, making toys, clothing, fabric painting, paper sculptures and corrugated iron. She hand designs, hand paints and screenprints. She enjoys making art from recycled and unusual materials, wood in particular. She likes to make indoor and outdoor art work.

Faye currently lives in Whangarei where she is free to create her lovely pieces of art, and raise her beautiful daughter.
