Visual Art

This year our class takes its name from Reweti Arapere. Arapere is an emerging Māori artist who was born in Tauranga and studied at Massey University School of Māori Visual Arts. His artworks are influenced by the desire to keep the Māori language and culture relevant for future generations. Arapere expresses this through illustrations, paintings and sculptures.
