Mark Murphy, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the College of Education at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. His research focuses on demographic patterns in education, educational equity, educational evaluation, immigration policy, English Learners, Special Education students, the psychological wellbeing of early childhood educators, and minority serving institutions. Mark holds a doctorate in Educational Policy and the Economics of Education from Stanford University. His work has been published in the American Educational Research Journal, Educational Researcher, Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, the Journal of School Health, the Journal of Hispanic Higher Education, the High School Journal, and the Harvard Education Press. It has also been featured in the New York Times, the Economist, the Los Angeles Times and U.S. News and World Report.
