Welcome to the Kapiʻolani Community College Engineering Club! This is a space to make friends and exchange ideas. There's no pressure at all, but if you are interested in starting up a project, then this is the place to come together, make plans, and get organized. Projects are a great way to gain the type of practical skills and experience that you can list on your résumé.
Click on the Meeting Minutes to see a current list of projects.
See the block programming code for this game, written in Scratch: Maunalua Bay Cleanup
Once on the Scratch website, click on the "See inside" button to access the code.
Instructions:
Move the robot around to collect the invasive algae in Maunalua Bay, on the south coast of O'ahu, in Hawai'i. Make your way back to the docking station in the upper left corner to recharge your battery, and to deposit the collected algae. Keep an eye on your battery energy level! The algae grows back every day. You get 1 upgrade credit for algae that you deposit (this number starts at 10 algae for the first week, and increases by 1 weekly, so you need to be strategic about when to advance days). Click on the upgrade menu to see the upgrade options: battery charging speed, robot speed, and battery capacity.
Controls:
( W key = move up ) ( A key = move left ) ( S key = move down ) ( D key = move right ) ( Spacebar = go on to the next day )
