The ADVANCE Catalyst Kaulike team is humbled to invite the UH Mānoa Campus Community to the Kaulike Summit. The goal of the summit is to highlight equity efforts of the Mānoa campus community. The event is the culminating event for our research team that has been looking at inequities in advancement, acknowledgement, and support for our wāhine faculty and staff in STEM. In particular, we have been noting challenges experienced by our our kānaka ‘ōiwi, those with disabilities, and our LGBTQ+ colleagues. Other challenges have been experienced by faculty, staff, and graduate students who are parents and also elder care providers. There is a maximum of 200 attendees in the Campus Center ballroom, and we hope to welcome as many as possible. When registering, please let us know if you plan on attending for part of the day or the entire day so that we can best manage available seats.
If you would like to request accommodations, please contact the organizers at advance@hawaii.edu or share your request when you register. Requests made as early as possible will allow adequate time to fulfill your request. The event is not an online event, but we will develop online listening options for those with special accommodations requests.
Registration closes on October 15, so we encourage you to register soon.
If you have any questions regarding the summit, please contact advance@hawaii.edu. Please note that the summit will not be recorded.
