Model: Jamboard ~ Who Took the Farmer’s Hat ideas- Model Summer Jam.pdf
Jamboard is essentially a white board that allows students to post written ideas, drawings, images etc. Students using Jamboard have the ability to move or rearrange the organization of posted material. Jamboard can serve as a space for discussion, create a presentation or a storyboard. Jamboard offers students a great way to show their love of a book.
They can do this by discussing any one of the following ideas:
Information about the author
Your favorite part
Your ideas on a different ending
A summary of the story
Your favorite character(s)
You might also create a graphic organizer that allows you to explore:
The structure of the story ~ Story Map
Similarities and differences within the story ~ Venn Diagram
Beginning, middle and end of a story ~ Story Outline
You can also:
Draw on the Jamboard
Add pictures from your own camera or from the internet
If you need more information on how to use Jamboard, please follow the links below:
Stop motion animation- recreate a scene from the story
*Students need to download iMotion app
Model: Animation by Sahmuel B. Make a stop motion animation about your book Sahmuel B.MOV
Project Information: Stop motion animation is a filming technique in which objects (such as clay models) are photographed in a series of slightly
different positions so that the objects seem to move. If you are not familiar with stop motion animation, check out the clay-animation TV show
Shaun the Sheep. Many students are familiar with classic flipbooks, which use a series of drawings to create an animated “cartoon". This is a great
way to demonstrate to kids the basic principles behind stop motion animation.
