This is the video of all ways through Moon Base Alpha. The Share Code is ZMF-BLF.
These pictures are of three different spaces. (Scavengers 1 to the Bottom Left) (Pilot Part 2 to the Top Left) (Pilot End Top Right) They each have a coding sequence. Scavengers 1 had a new walking code that allowed the model Ken to turn around to the direction he is walking. In the others, somewhat nice animations are used to create a story.
Using Co-Spaces, I created an interactive episodic game because I had an idea to remake an older project on Co-Spaces called Ken's Story, this was a first project where Ken and a girl called Samantha were stranded on the moon, in the true ending they make it to the Park. But anyway the story stars Ken, Sara, George, and Rose. They all have been abandoned on the moon for no apparent reason. They split into two groups and in the end, they make it to the park.
During this process, I learned how to make a character model turn to look forward or backward without extra keys. This was done by using the code in the movement section and events section. You would connect a key on the keyboard, have the model face an object in a certain direction and add the distance from a movement block, then have a stop animation.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I had implemented an unusually complex story that only people from the Park will get.
A challenge I overcame on this project was custom models, it was a hard process to make stuff out of blobs and blocks. I was able to do it by starting a finger with two capsules. Then I created a metallic sphere and connected three fingers to it. Then I grabbed a tube, made it bigger and attached it to the hand. Then I made a duplicate arm and stashed it away. I made a head with a visor and a mouth. I then made a leg, take the tube, add a block foot to the end, and then you have a leg. Then I placed then around the background.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of story and areas that you cold see. The reason why I would change it is because there was so much I wanted to fit in and not enough time. Maybe next time though I will do this before the project is assigned an turn it in on the last day.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in CGI animator because the coding used in my project can be used in a CGI based film or short, as well as making the models like I did with the broken robot..
One thing I could do is create an educational space with facts or knowledge about different things.
A second thing I could do is building a template where you can work in errors and others have to figure out how to go forward or solve the problems in the world.
A third thing I could do is that I can make a parkour course and have people time their jumps and accuracy.
I can make a short film about factual events.
I can make a short film to entertain people.
I can reproduce an older project and make it better.
I can make a text game to entertain people.
Another thing I could do is make a story that is factual.
I can make a story that is fiction and good.
You can make a theory based on facts and evidence with a fun spin.
