Below are Animated Digital Stories hand-crafted by our 7th and 8th grade students. Literally for weeks, they have been learning one skill at a time to help them author a digital story. They have learned how to create scenes and characters, how to import Creative Common images with transparent backgrounds, how to express their character's thoughts, spoken word, and emotion using callouts, and how to design using all the tools of Google Drawings. On top of the design process, they added the skills of creating stop motion in Google Slides and screen recording using Screencastify. Once they had their video recorded, they learned how to use WeVideo so they could add sound effects as finishing touches to their stories. Each story has been hand crafted from beginning to the end. They have even designed a self portrait using Google Drawings to go along with their story. What they have accomplished is AMAZING!
