Vet Pet Care

Course Description: This class is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment or for advanced training in the veterinary assisting industry. The curriculum focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses the understanding and demonstration of the following elements as they relate to veterinary pet care science: lab safety, animal handling, physical exams, wound repair, bandaging, suturing, emergency response, pet nutrition, kidney function, reproductive health and grooming and clipping. Students will meet and work alongside industry professionals.
