All students in grades PK-8 take part in a sequential visual arts program that offers a variety of experiences to explore two and three dimensional media. Classes in printmaking, clay, drawing, painting and crafts are integrated into classroom lessons. Students are also exposed to concepts and vocabulary related to the visual arts.
In addition to the classroom lessons, students have the opportunity to participate in the Greater Hartford Youth Arts Renaissance and additional art exhibitions. Grade level trips are annually made to area museums where students have the opportunity to see masterworks and work with the institutions’ art leaders
