At HCIS, our theater program provides students with opportunities to develop skills in acting, technical theater, and production. There are two shows a year (Fall + Spring). These productions offer students the chance to collaborate, gain hands on experience in different aspects of theater, and contribute to our school culture.
Back to the 80's, Spring 2025
HCIS went Back to the 80's for our Spring 2025 show! This show tells the story of the senior class of William Ocean High School that graduated in the 1980's, as remembered and seen through the eyes of Corey Palmer, who is now 30-something. Filled with hits like Video Killed the Radio Star and Man in the Mirror- this show was absolutely rockin!
Antigone: 3021, Fall 2024
HCIS drama presented Antigone: 3021 in the fall of 2024.
Antigone: 3021 is a futuristic take on an ancient story. This adaptation by Nina Mansfield takes the classic tale by Sophocles and makes it terrifyingly real for today's audiences.
A Midsummer Nights Dream, Fall 2023
HCIS has done a number of Shakespeares works, most recently A Midsummer Nights Dream.
A Midsummer Nights Dream is a play about love, magic, and the collision of the real and fairy worlds.
She Kills Monsters, Spring 2022
She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen was performed readers theater style due to HCIS's Spring 2021 semester being disrupted.
This show tells the story of Agnes Evans and her life following the death of her sister, Tilly. It includes elements of grief, loss, remembrance, DND, and queerness.
