From neural dynamics to behavior, disease, and health

Our lab investigates how the brain represents, transforms, and uses neural signals to guide cognition and behavior. We combine in vivo calcium imaging, circuit neuroscience, machine learning, and interpretable data science to analyze neural dynamics underlying learning and disease-related states.

We further extend these questions to human health by integrating experimental findings with large-scale clinical, healthcare claims, and population health data, bridging neural mechanisms with human health outcomes.
