AQAM  Research Lab

The AQAM Research Lab focuses on the development of advanced materials and systems for air quality management. The lab investigates functional materials for the removal of gaseous pollutants, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs), formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, hydrogen sulfide, and ammonia, under realistic environmental conditions.

Research activities emphasize adsorption–catalysis–photocatalysis integrated platforms using porous carbons, metal oxides, metal–organic frameworks, layered double hydroxide–derived materials, and semiconductor heterostructures. Performance, durability, and reaction mechanisms are systematically evaluated through kinetic analysis and advanced characterization techniques, enabling the translation of material-level insights into prototype and pilot-scale air purification systems.
