Dolphin Awareness Programme
Dolphin Awareness AssemblyÂ
Dolphin Awareness ActivityÂ
Students of Hanumant High School celebrated Dolphin Conservation Day, which aimed to
educate students about the importance of dolphins and how to protect them, organized by the
CBSE. The students of grade 10 prepared a short assembly on this. Students from grades 1 to
12 began the event by taking a pledge to protect dolphins and their ocean habitats. They then
watched an awareness video explaining why dolphins are valuable, the threats they face—like
pollution and fishing gear—and how each of us can help. This helped the students understand
their role in conservation and inspired thoughtful discussions.
To build on that learning, the school hosted a painting competition for grades 6 to 8 cantered
on the theme of dolphin conservation. With brushes and vibrant colours, students expressed
what they had learned about dolphins and their habitats. The artwork displayed creativity and
a deeper appreciation of dolphins’ intelligence and beauty, reinforcing the message of the day's
activities. Overall, the combination of a pledge, an educational video, and an artistic activity
made for an engaging and meaningful experience that encouraged students to care for these
amazing marine animals.
