Event - Vande Mataram Celebration
Hanumant High School organized a patriotic programme titled Vande Mataram on 12th August 2025, celebrating the spirit of freedom and love for the nation. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from children of different schools of Mahuva aged 7 to 16, who showcased their talents through songs, speeches, dances, and other performances centred around patriotism.
The programme began with a warm welcome to the esteemed judges and the gathered audience. Participants captivated the gathering with their spirited presentations, reflecting the values of unity, sacrifice, and national pride. The judges appreciated the talent, creativity, and confidence of the young performers, making the event both competitive and inspiring.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the efforts of participants, judges, Principal Ma’am, school management, and teachers. The Vandemataram programme not only celebrated the nation’s pride but also reinforced the school’s mission of nurturing responsible, active, and patriotic citizens.
Rakshabandhan Celebration
The students of Hanumant High School joyfully celebrated the festival of Rakshabandhan
during the morning assembly. The celebration began with a short speech highlighting the
significance of the festival, which symbolizes the bond of love, protection, and care between
brothers and sisters. Students enthusiastically participated in various activities to mark the
occasion.
A group of students presented a beautiful song dedicated to the theme of sibling love. This was
followed by a small skit that portrayed the traditional custom of tying rakhi and its deeper
meaning in fostering harmony and affection. The assembly concluded with the values of love,
respect, and togetherness that the festival represents.
Independence Day Celebration
Hanumant High School celebrated Independence Day on 15th August with great enthusiasm
and patriotic fervor. The programme began with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by
inspiring speeches. Principal Ma’am addressed the gathering and encouraged students to
express the meaning of freedom in their own words, fostering a sense of reflection and
responsibility. This was followed by a speech by the Vice Principal, and then the Head Boy
and Head Girl shared their thoughts on the significance of the day. To energize the atmosphere,
clapping yoga was performed, filling the venue with cheer and positivity. The cultural
programme included two melodious songs – one presented by the Grade 1 students, and another
patriotic performance by the Grade 8 students. The event concluded with a spirit of unity and
pride, leaving everyone inspired by the values of independence.
Indian Heritage Quiz

As part of the initiative by CBSE to promote awareness and appreciation of India’s rich cultural legacy, our school organized the Indian Heritage Quiz in two phases — the Semi-Finals held on 4th August through Google Forms, and the Finals conducted on 7th August.
The quiz aimed to enhance students’ knowledge of India’s diverse heritage including its monuments, classical art forms, festivals, traditions, and historical milestones. Participants from all four houses — Love, Truth, Peace, and Compassion — enthusiastically took part in the competition.
In the Semi-Finals, a preliminary screening was conducted online via Google Forms, where selected students from each house answered objective questions based on Indian heritage. The top-scoring students advanced to the Final Round, which witnessed an intense and intellectually stimulating battle of wits.
The results of the final round are as follows:

The quiz not only served as a knowledge-enriching activity but also helped instill a deeper sense of pride and respect for our Indian culture among students.

Lion's Day Celebration
On 8 August 2025, Hanumant High School hosted a Lion Day to raise awareness about Asiatic lions and their conservation. The event highlighted the importance of preserving the Gir Forest and the efforts to protect these majestic creatures. Students participated in discussions, activities, and campaigns to support wildlife conservation. The celebration inspired everyone to take action in safeguarding the future of the Asiatic lion and its habitat.

Primary - Activity - Wear & Share
The “Wear & Share” Subject Enrichment Activity was conducted successfully as
part of the EVS lesson on Clothes We Wear. Students enthusiastically
participated by dressing up in three categories – Seasonal Clothes, Traditional
Attire, and Professional Uniforms.
Each child spoke 4–5 lines about their attire, explaining its purpose and
significance. The activity allowed students to develop public speaking skills,
enhance vocabulary, and gain awareness of cultural diversity and community roles.
The energy in the classroom was vibrant as students confidently shared details
about summer dresses, winter coats, raincoats, festive sarees, sherwanis, chef coats, doctor aprons, and more.
We are delighted to share that we achieved 100% participation, with every
student presenting in a lively and engaging manner. The event was both
educational and joyful, and the collaborative support from parents made it a grand success.

Learning Vitamins of Fruits through Creative Role Play
The Hindi lesson came to life with a lively "Phalon ki Sabha" role play. Some students came dressed in fruit costumes, while others added creativity to the performance with beautifully prepared handmade props. Each fruit introduced itself, sharing the vitamins it contains and the health benefits of eating it. Through this enactment, students not only understood the importance of fruits but also built confidence in public speaking and enriched their vocabulary. The classroom buzzed with excitement as learning became fun and interactive. This activity blended knowledge with creativity, leaving a lasting impact on young minds.
Primary - Activity - A Butterfly Smile Bookmark
As part of the English Literature lesson A Butterfly Smile, a creative and engaging “Butterfly Smile Bookmark Activity” was conducted for Grade 3 students on 1 August 2025. The activity was integrated with Art and Craft, allowing students to combine their language learning with artistic expression.
During the session, students designed and crafted beautiful butterfly-shaped bookmarks using vibrant colours and decorative materials. Alongside the art activity, they also learnt about the life cycle of butterflies and how these fascinating insects help the environment by growing new plants through pollination. This added an environmental awareness element to the lesson.
Following the bookmark-making activity, students were given a creative writing task on the topic “If I Could Be a Butterfly”. This exercise encouraged them to give wings to their imagination and express their thoughts freely, drawing inspiration from the lesson’s themes.
The activity proved to be an enjoyable blend of art, literature, environmental learning, and creative thinking, enabling students to connect with the story in a deeper and more personal way. The enthusiasm, creativity, and active participation of the students made the activity a memorable and enriching learning experience.
Primary - Activity - Nest
On 25th August 2025, Grade 3 students participated in a Nest Making Activity under the EVS lesson “Our Feathered Friends – Birds”. The activity aimed to help children explore different types of nests and
understand the patience and hard work of birds in building their homes.
Students created 2D and 3D nest models using twigs, straws, leaves, cotton, wool, woollen thread, husk of
coconut, hay, and clay. They designed cup nests, hanging nests, hole nests, and ground nests, each reflecting
their creativity and imagination.
As the saying goes, “Every bird builds its nest with love and care.” Through this activity, children not
only enjoyed craftwork but also enjoyed the beauty of nature and learned the importance of protecting
birds and their habitats.
The enthusiasm and uniqueness of the models made the activity a memorable success. Truly, “A child’s
creativity is like a bird’s nest—beautiful, unique, and full of life.”
Primary - Activity - Mental Math
Grade 4 began their day with an exciting Brain Break that turned math into a fun challenge. Students solved sums within a given time limit, creating a spirit of healthy competition. Some even came forward to the board, racing to complete their answers first. The classroom was filled with energy, laughter, and enthusiasm as children enjoyed this playful start. It proved to be a perfect kick-start dose for the day boosting focus, sharpening minds, and setting a positive tone for learning ahead.
Primary - Activity - Math 1- 3 tens ones and hundreds
A joyful and engaging Math Activity on Place Value was organized for the students of Grades 1, 2, and 3. The activity was conducted in an open space where concentric circles were drawn on the ground to symbolize different place values. For Grade 1, two circles denoted the Ones and Tens places; for Grade 2, three circles illustrated the Ones, Tens, and Hundreds places; and for Grade 3, four circles represented the Ones, Tens, Hundreds, and Thousands places. Students threw beads into the circles, counted them, and recorded the numbers according to their place values.
This hands-on activity helped students clearly visualize how numbers are formed and strengthened their understanding of place value. It made learning interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful by combining play with practice. Students reflected that they loved learning math as a game.
Primary - Activity - Reading Program
As part of the Good Words Reading Programme, our curious Grade 2 learners dived into a joyful vocabulary-building activity today. Each child picked a word card, visualised it, and brought it to life with their own creative drawing all based on what the word meant to them.
But it didn’t stop there! They then used the same word to craft a simple sentence, showing not just understanding but expression. The classroom buzzed with imagination as children connected pictures to words and words to thoughts.
This activity sparked their creativity, built stronger vocabulary skills, and encouraged them to think beyond the page. A beautiful blend of language and imagination just the way learning should be!
Primary - Activity - Financial Literacy
Hanumant High School has proudly launched Financial Literacy as a life-skill subject across Grades 1–5, marking a revolutionary step in primary education. This initiative is designed to build early awareness about money, saving, and responsible choices in the most engaging way possible.
Through activities like exploring real currency, creating piggy banks, reflecting on wants vs. needs, and connecting discussions with parents at home, our children are experiencing learning that goes beyond textbooks and classrooms.
Grade 1 learners took their first step into the world of currency by exploring coins and notes, identifying real money, and even sketching their own ₹100 note on the board before proudly sharing their observations with parents.
Grade 2 stepped into the magic of saving and spending. Each child designed their own piggy bank and explained how they would use it to save for their future dreams.
Grade 3 dived into the difference between wants and needs through chores and daily choices. Children reflected on how to prioritize essentials and make smart decisions in life.
Grade 5 - practice of filling the deposit slip
Through these hands-on, joyful, and practical activities, students not only engaged their creativity but also connected with peers and parents—turning classroom learning into a real-life skill.
