Updated Massachusetts Comprehensive Health and Physical Education Frameworks were released in September 2023.

Updated National Health Education Standards will be released in March 2024.

Adherence to both sets of standards will be fully implemented in 2024-25 school year.

Sexual health content will not undergo changes based on the newly released Massachusetts Health and Physical Education Frameworks until the 2024-25 school year. A thorough review and update process will include school and district administrators, health education staff, data review, family feedback, and opportunities for parents/guardians to preview all curriculum and materials before implementation.
