Meet Mrs. Saldana
Hi! My name is Leah Saldana, and I’m excited to begin my 7th year of teaching Kindergarten! Teaching kindergarten is truly my passion. I love everything about kindergarten, from reading and writing stories to singing songs and exploring the world through play. One of the greatest joys is helping children discover reading strategies and inspiring a lifelong love of reading books and learning. I look forward to a year of learning, laughter, and adventure.
Outside of the classroom, I treasure time with my amazing family. My husband, who is also an educator, is very supportive of my commitment and dedication to students and their families. We are blessed with six children and seven grandchildren, and we love spending time together playing board games and enjoying good food.
My prayers and goals for your child this year are to develop a love for learning, experience the joy of God’s word, and make wonderful new friends. I am looking forward to having your child in my class. It’s going to be an amazing year!
Our theme this year at Hanford Christian is "Walk Worthy." Our verse is found in Colossians 1:10, Paul writes, “so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God”. In Colossians 1:10, the apostle Paul prays that the believers would “live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.” His desire was not that they strive to earn God’s favor, but that they walk in a manner worthy of the Lord because they had already been graciously adopted by Him through Christ.
