Mrs. verhoeven's Class
Week 18
Week 18
This week we have many fun and festive activities going on! We will have a hot chocolate treat on Monday and each child may bring a mug to drink it in! Tuesday night will be our Christmas Spectacular K-5 program in the gym at 6:30. Students should wear nice Christmas clothes. We will have a Christmas chapel on Wednesday at 9:00 and our class party will be on Friday from 9:00-11:00. (A big thank you to our room moms!)
Each day next week is also WINTER WEEK Dress Up Days. See the home page for a complete description of each day's suggestions!
We look forward to spending time focusing on Christ's birth through each of these activities.
THERE WILL BE NO SPELLING TEST OR MEMORY VERSE THIS WEEK. However, we will be saying Luke 2:1-7 together in class each day as part of our Bible lessons on Christmas. If your child would like to earn extra credit points, they may recite part/all of it on Friday.
I hope you have a WONDERFUL break with your family! May you experience the PEACE of Christ that the world cannot give!
Blessings,
LuJean Verhoeven

EXTRA CREDIT:
So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born. And she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn.
