Title I Program 

 Working together, Title I is committed to providing educational experiences and resources to promote high academic achievement for all students, ensure sustainability through professional development, and foster strong home-school-community relationships.

What is Title I?

The Hampton City Schools Title I Department is a federally funded program that operates under the the Every Student Succeeds Act (2015). Students are identified as economically disadvantaged by their free and reduced lunch status.

How does Title l enrich student experiences?

• Accelerate academic achievement

• Provide high quality instruction and coaching for every school

• Maximize resources and demand for financial accountability

• Establish positive relationships between the home, school, and community

What are the enhancements in my child's school?

All of the schools in Hampton receiving Title I federal funds have the following:

• Family Engagement Specialist

• Literacy Support Specialist

• Math Support Specialist

• Math Interventionist

• Reading Interventionist

• Additional instructional materials and supplies
