Have students create a reverse outline for an article. A reverse outline is created on an existing piece of writing and requires the user to identify main points and supporting arguments. It encourages close reading and identifies areas where more support is needed.
Ask students to create an annotated bibliography on a topic. The annotations should assess the credibility and relevance of each source.
