The Hamline Votes Campaign began to shift the majority of our focus over to the 2024 General Election early in the summer. Prior to election day, Hamline Votes used a mix of passive marketing (posters and social media posts), classroom presentations (primarily in FYSems), and tabling in Anderson Center to help people get registered to vote, as well as gain access to non-partisan candidate information. Once election day came, we in partnership with members of the Hamline Votes Committee hosted a large ‘get out and vote’ event that continued to inform the community about non-partisan voting information, as well as offer Hamline University residents free rides to our local polling station.
Through all of this, Hamline Votes attempted to reach out to every person in the Hamline community to become informed voters in the 2024 General Election. And vote we did! The Hamline community did a great job making sure that our voice was heard at the national level in mass by a combination of absentee, early, and in person voting.
