On Thursday May 2nd in the Gathering Place in Sorin Hall, members from the Wesley Center for Spirituality, Service, and Social Justice came together for an end of year awards ceremony and lunch. The event featured speeches from Chaplin Kelly Figueroa-Ray, Rabbi Esther Adler, Coordinator of the Food Resource Center, Sadie Berlin, and the former Director of the McVay Youth Partnership, Jane Krentz. The luncheon was catered with delicious food from the local Turkish restaurant, The Black Sea, across the street from Hamline University on Snelling.
At the Wesley Awards, students, staff, faculty, and community partners are recognized and honored. These awards vary from recognition for outstanding service, leadership skills, and even include scholarships for students to use towards their tuition.
