Over the course of the Fall 2024 semester, Jewish Student Life had an exciting time. Our most notable event, aside from our weekly Kabbalat Shabbat events, was Pizza in the Hut. This is an event that takes place during Sukkot which is a seven day celebration. During this holiday, people build and live in a sukkah, which is a temporary hut. The sukkah represents the temporary shelters the people of Israel stayed in as they wandered the desert after they left slavery in Egypt. Sukkot commemorates this forty year period of time and celebrates freedom and the fall harvest.
