The Wesley Center extends a warm welcome to Hamline University faculty, staff, and students as we all come back to campus for the 2023-24 school year! We are here for our Hamline community, providing them with a handful of resources that they can take advantage of this school year to fit their needs.

The Wesley Center home office is located in Anderson Center 318.

Food Resource Center - West Hall 110

The FRC is now officially a part of the Wesley Center! The FRC is a resource open to all Hamline students, staff, faculty, and community members where they can fulfill their food and basic needs. The FRC receives shipments weekly of groceries, produce, microwavable meals, & basic toiletries for all students to shop from for FREE. Follow the FRC on Instagram for updates on hours and shipments or visit their website.

The FRC is located in West Hall 110

Religious and Spiritual Life

The Wesley Center is here to provide students with any religious and spiritual resources they might need. The wellspring (3rd floor Anderson Center) and the gathering place (Sorin Hall) are spaces managed by the Wesley Center for students to use for prayer, meditation, worship, etc.

Students can also partake in the student-run group, the Multi-Faith Alliance! The leaders of Jewish Student Life (JSL), Muslim Student Association (MSA), HU Mindfulness and Mediation (HUMM), and Christian Campus Ministry (CCM) lead programs for each student group and together across traditions. All are encouraged to be involved regardless of their religious and spiritual beliefs.

The Wesley Center also provides a confidential space for all students, staff, or faculty members to explore spiritual questions, process difficult or complex situations, or just need a listening ear. For this resource, you can contact Chaplain Kelly Figueroa-Ray or Rabbi Esther Adler

Community Engagement

The Wesley Center provides various resources for the Hamline community to serve within itself and outside of it.

Volunteering, Civic Engagement, and Social Justice

There are always volunteering opportunities within the community you can find on Hamline Connects, a new website the Wesley Center has created to find the perfect volunteer opportunity for you. Easily create a profile and keep track of your volunteer hours and impact on the community--a useful resource as you build your resume.

You can also apply for the Catalyst Alternative Trips. During this week-long trip, participants will spend their spring break participating in community service projects. Be on the lookout for the applications for the 2023-2024 trip!

Work Study/Internships

The Wesley Center offers several opportunities for students to serve the Hamline community, possibly earn their LEAP credit, and take advantage of work-study. Keep a lookout for postings on our website and Instagram!

Events!

The Wesley Center is constantly putting on events for the entire Hamline Community. Whether these are small groups, religious gatherings, lectures, or just plain fun events, we have something for everyone. Keep up to date on our events on social media, our presence pages, or our Wesley Center events google calendar.

We are so excited to be here for you all as we begin the 2023-2024 school year. Make sure to visit us and make sure to take advantage of all the resources we have for you! - Wesley Center
