The Office of Clinical Experience purposefully bridges the content and course work Hamline School of Education and Leadership students gain in the classroom with meaningful and positive clinical experiences in neighboring schools and school districts.
Background Check For All Clinical Experiences
Students are responsible for completing, submitting, and paying for all background checks. This includes all field experience and student teaching placements. Specific school district background checks and directions can be found here:
School District Background Check Information
Students must complete a petition for changes in their program that may happen during clinical experiences. Please discuss your situation with your HSEL staff and/or faculty advisor prior to submitting a petition. The petition form can be found here.
Petitions requesting a late withdrawal or a late drop are handled through a different process. Contact your staff advisor for information.
