2019 Health Care Career Academy
Hamilton High School has again partnered with Community Memorial Hospital to offer the Healthcare Career Academy in the summer of 2019. The Healthcare Career Academy provides qualified students with the opportunity to expand their knowledge base as it relates to a wide array of professional healthcare options. Students need to be entering their junior or senior year in the fall of 2019. The Healthcare Career Academy experience will provide each student with a well-balanced approach towards healthcare career exposure. This exposure will assist with clarifying roles and responsibilities while motivating students and encouraging healthcare career choices.
The two-week program will run approximately three hours a day, Monday through Friday, from August 12th through August 23rd. The Healthcare Career Academy allows students to shadow and learn from professionals in various departments. Through observation, hands-on experiences, classroom discussion, and research, students will be able to expand their awareness and interest in healthcare careers.
