We will work collaboratively to provide a kind, nurturing, loving, and supportive environment for our Pre-K community, including students, parents, families, and staff. Our classrooms will be a safe space built on trust and community, encouraging the development of students emotionally, socially, academically, and physically. As a team, we will promote life-long learning. The Preschool years are an important time in a child’s life as students learn not only the foundational skills for academic success, but also build a love of learning and form friendships that often last a lifetime. It’s going to be a year full of enriching experiences for your child, and they are going to have so much fun while learning so many skills!
Preschool Instructional Coach
Preschool Instructional Coaches are specialized teachers who provide and maintain high levels of quality by helping and supporting preschool teachers. Their primary role is to visit classrooms and coach teachers using reflective practice to improve instruction. Preschool Instructional Coaches meet with preschool teachers and paraprofessionals to coach/mentor them in self-reflection and improving their teaching practice, helping them strive to be the best teachers they can be! They also utilize classroom observation tools like ECERS-3 and the Creative Curriculum Fidelity Tool to help teachers strengthen the classroom environment and instructional practices to build upon their quality and give children the safest, most fun, and educational experiences possible.
Community Parent Involvement Specialist
The Community Parent Involvement Specialist (CPIS) oversees the school district's family services for the Office of Early Childhood. The CPIS collaborates and coordinates work with Private Child Care Providers and Family Workers, Preschool Social Workers, local and state agencies, and other community resources in developing and maintaining a partnership to improve the overall well-being of children and families. Some of the responsibilities of the CPIS are to assist families in placing their child(ren) in the Early Childhood program, monitor the recruitment, enrollment, and transition process, organize family involvement activities within the community, coordinate the community needs assessment, and chair the Early Childhood Education Advisory Council.
