He is available for presentations to individuals or groups of students either virtually or in-person on the steps to entering the industry, answering questions about construction, or assisting individuals in the process.

Veterans United Flourish Program
Flo $aves: The Flourish $AVES Program is a program designed to help students between the 5th & 12th grade with socio-economic barriers obtain a post-secondary education. Students can earn up to $5,000 that will be deposited into a CISA 529 account (these are College and Career Savings Accounts). Their savings can be spent on diverse costs associated with any higher education program, whether it may be 2 or 4 year college, or a trade/technical/certification program. Eligibility requirements for this program are student must be a resident of Boone County and be experiencing one or more socioeconomic barriers. Barriers include:
Students or Color/Minority Students
Students who’ve been in foster care or the adoption system
LGBTQ+ or other marginalized group
Low-income students (at or below 200% Federal Poverty Line according to the table (linked HERE)
Prep I: This is a paid summer internship for high school juniors. The summer following their junior year will be spent at VU working on personal and professional development, service learn and job readiness training. Participants are required to have an 18 hour a week commitment. Eligibility requirements for this program are students must be enrolled in a Boone County high school, rising senior experiencing employment or educational barriers. Barriers include but not limited to:

Students who’ve been in foster care or adoption system
Prep II: This is a paid internship for recently graduated seniors (Fall or Spring graduates) looking to get “real-world” work experience in a positive work environment. This internship has a 40 hour a week commitment throughout the summer. The student must be proficient in English, have consistent typing skills, time management and teamwork skills. Requirements for this internship are student must be a youth, up to the age of 20, experiencing employment or educational barriers. Barriers include but not limited to:

Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council: You can use this link to find apprenticeship opportunities in the Carpentry field (exterior & interior finishing, drywall & interior systems, wood and metal framing, concrete formwork, lathing, millwright, welding and cutting, pile driving, etc.)
Construction Craft Laborers' Apprenticeship Program: You can use this link to find apprenticeship opportunities for general construction, flatwork, utility pipe, heavy/highway, grading and excavation, environmental abatement, masonry, demolition, tunneling, and cured-in-place pipe.

Students must apply and go through an interview process before being accepted into the academy
The academy will start the Monday after graduation
Location: The Academy is held at our Linn Creek office - 1410 Bus Park Rd, Linn Creek, MO 65052
Hours of the Academy – 8:00 AM-5:00 PM – Monday – Friday
There is no tuition associated with the Academy
Students will be paid an hourly rate during the 5 weeks
Students must have reliable transportation to get to and from the academy
A hotel will be provided during the week, when necessary
Rankin Tech Adventure Academy
The Summer Adventure Academy program encourages middle and high school students to complete high school and further their education in a STEM-related discipline and ultimately join the technical workforce in their community by earning a STEM degree. These week-long summer camps promote STEM career exploration by providing outside the classroom educational experiences to raise students’ aspirations. The Summer Adventure Academies engage students in real-world, hands-on camps that demonstrate the skills necessary in STEM occupations. More than 2,000 students have participated in the program since 2010.
