As part of their learning, Year 5/6 used clay to create their own poppiees. These poppies were then painted, varnished and left to dry over the course of the week. On Friday 10th November, we placed some of the poppies into the Cottingham Memorial Gardens and others into St. Mary's Church.

When we visited these memorials we reflected upon the lives of the people killed and injured in wars, and what they had given and are still giving to us today. We shared poems and thoughts as part of this reflection.
