Biography
I am so excited to be part of the Fine Arts Community and be involved in all the different projects in school and within the community. Being part of this select group of individuals has helped me inspire others as well as be inspired by those around me when creating different projects. All of the classes I have taken involve some sort of art-based focus and help me in the continuation of my passion for art. Such classes include Photography I &II, three years of the Graphic Design pathways, and two years of IB Art. I have faced many challenges but none have deterred me from my goals and dreams for the future. Other involvements within the community at West Hall include three years of National Honors Society where I am now Parliamentarian of the club, National Art Honors Society for two years and a member of the Executive Council as well as Vice-President of the club, two years of HoPE, three years of SkillsUSA, SkillsUSA Regional Competitor, and a year of Spanish National Honors Society. All of these accomplishments have helped me further my dream of becoming a Clinical Psychiatrist or Therapist, focusing on helping those around me.
There have been so many instances where I have served the community within and outside of West Hall by the use of art. I want to continue the use of art as a hobby and possibly through art-based therapy as a way to treat trauma through art-making. Everyone needs a creative outlet to vent through and mine happens to be design-related. I have used machinery to create t-shirt designs, ink-based products, screens for t-shirts, billboard posters, and wood engraving only in Graphic Design. In more of my art programs, I used many different mediums to express myself and create original pieces that help people feel something. Art has always been my passion and even if it gives me many challenges, no challenge is too difficult to overcome.
