Biography
Hi. I’m Clarisa Garcia Galvan and I’m a senior at West Hall High School. Throughout all the 4 years of high school I have and will complete 3 years of Visual Arts as well as 3 years of Graphic Design. I didn’t realize how being part of the West Hall Fine Arts had impacted me until my junior year. Since that was the year I was enrolled in classes of Early College and I wasn’t able to take any elective classes. Even though I was able to get some of the college classes out of the way before actually being in college. I noticed that Fine Arts was part of my life and how much it helped me express myself. One great accomplishment I have is that I was also able to have some of my artworks taken to the capitol art and in hall county.
I have also been enrolled in two clubs, SkillsUSA and National Honors Society in which I have helped in fundraisers and some community service events. One of them that really impacted me was working on a memory project, in which I had to do a portrait of a kid so that it could be sent to the kid personally.
As for my future career I have always been interested in Biology as for which I will try to get a bachelor's degree in and later on I would really like to get into the Medical Field. Being part of West Hall Fine Arts has helped me not only improve my artworks but also helped me enjoy the time I spend working on them. I’m glad that I was able to be a student of both visual arts and graphic design since it taught me a way to express myself through my artworks or designs, in which it has also taught me a lesson of having original artworks and not comparing myself to others, and grow as a person. I will always appreciate all the lessons I learned by both classes as well as meeting people through all my years of high school.
