Biography
My journey in fine arts began in my junior year when I joined IB Visual Arts and Theater Fundamentals. I am so happy that I joined West Hall’s Fine Art community because this is where I ended up feeling most comfortable and met the best people. At first I was unsure of myself after a whole year of virtual classes my Junior year. Over the first few weeks of being in school I felt like I found my footing and community and I finally felt like I belonged somewhere. In my Theater classes I was part of the tech crew for our One Act production The Great Gatsby. I also played three roles in my class play Fine Dining. In IB Art I was able to find and explore my creative capabilities. I was able to get more comfortable with new media such as oil paint and I learned how to trust myself a bit more.
I cherish all of the time that I had to be part of this awesome community and I am deeply grateful for all of the people I got to be around that inspired me every single day. As I am nearing my end of this journey I am honestly so sad to be leaving but I am also ready for what college and the world has to offer me. I am so thankful for my fine arts teachers for helping me grow and get out of my comfort zone along with caring for me and everyone else. Throughout the two years of IB Art I have learned to feel comfortable with making mistakes and learning from them rather than letting them get me down all of the time. Throughout my two years of theater I have learned to also get out of my comfort zone and to put myself out there. Both of these classes have given me a community to cherish and trust in.
