THE TROJAN VOICE

The Truth About Vaping

Please see the message below from Mr. Stan Lewis, Director of Communications & Athletics for Hall County Schools:

As most of you know, vaping is an issue we as a district began to address aggressively last spring as we saw a rise in use among our students. Recent reports from health officials indicate the nation-wide epidemic may be more dangerous than originally suspected.

Attached is a flyer promoting an October 10, 2019 community forum on the truth about vaping. It is sponsored by our friends at CenterPoint and Partnership for a Drug Free Hall. You are invited to attend and please feel free to help spread the word about this important event.

NHHS Media Center Recommends...

This week we feature a Mystery Genre- This genre includes a detective or someone solving a crime.

When recent high school graduate Cameron Carter lands an internship with Congressman Billy Beck in Washington, DC, he thinks it is his ticket out of small town captivity. When he lacks connections and Beltway polish he makes up in smarts, and he soon finds a friend and mentor in fellow staffer Ariel Lancaster. That is, until she winds up dead.

As rumors and accusations about her death fly around Capitol Hill, Cameron’s low profile makes him the perfect candidate for an FBI investigation that he wants no part of. Before he knows it—and with his family’s future at stake—he discovers DC’s darkest secrets as he races to expose a deadly conspiracy.

Senior Brag Sheets

As students are applying to colleges, technical schools, the military, jobs, and for scholarships, a thoroughly completed brag sheet helps the counselors write strong letters of reference. The more time students spend thoughtfully completing their brag sheet, the better job the counselors can do writing powerful letters of reference.

Students can either type into a digital version of the document or print a hard copy and handwrite responses. The completed forms can be submitted by emailing the student’s counselor or by dropping off a copy to the counselor’s office.
