Academic Team

The Academic Team competes in local and regional academic bowls concerning general and academic knowledge. The meets are held in the Fall.
Art Club

The Art Club expands the appreciation of and skills for creating artwork. The club studies art techniques and history through field trips, guest artists and community projects.
Competition Cheer

Athletes in all grades can try out in late April for the team. Practices begin in the summer, and the season runs from the end of September to the beginning of November. The team competes at high schools around the area that offer a middle school division in addition to their GHSA sanctioned high school competitive cheer events.
DECA

FCA

FCA is a student athlete-led ministry meeting on selected Thursdays before school. Meetings include praise and worship and a guest speaker. Student leaders are involved in leading, singing, speaking, setup and cleanup.
HOSA

Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) promotes career opportunities in the health care industry. Members participate in conferences, competitions, meetings, health fairs and community service projects.
Lacrosse

The Lacrosse Club provides opportunities to learn the sport of lacrosse, promotes good sportsmanship and promotes health and fitness.
Mountain Biking

A youth development program that uses the lifelong sport of mountain biking to teach students about fitness, nutrition, bike skills and an appreciation of nature. The season is July to November, but students can sign up anytime before September 1. Practices are held 3 nights a week in a controlled environment at the purpose-built Fox Trails at Road Atlanta. We have 4 optional competition in the Fall. The club is open to all CBMS students.
Running Club

Available for 6th graders, Running Club teaches students how to prepare for and run a 5K. Meetings take place for 10 weeks and will be held twice a week after school, 3:35-4:45 p.m. Dates will be announced throughout the year.

An in-school club in which students gather to build a trusting community and spread messages of hope, help and strength throughout the school. Meetings are held every other Friday during each grade level's Connection time.
Swimming

The Swim Team aims to increase swim skills and promote personal fitness. Swimmers practice 2-3 times per week at area indoor pool facilities and compete in swim meets on Saturdays. The swim season is October-February.
Tennis Club

The CBMS Tennis Club is for 6th and 7th grade students who wish to work on the key aspects of tennis (groundstrokes, serves, volleys, overheads and footwork) to prepare for high school tennis. Tennis Club is held 2 days a week for 6 weeks during the Fall semester.
Tome Club

Tome Club is open to any 6th-8th grade students who love all things books/reading! Tome highlights newly published books that are clean and fun to read. Tome members will also have the opportunity to participate in book club activities and state-level digital competitions while promoting self-esteem, leadership skills, character ethics, creativity and their own imagination. Tome meetings are held after school on selected dates throughout the year.
Volleyball

CBMS Volleyball tryouts take place each summer. The season begins in August with practices/games occurring Monday-Thursday after school.
