Hadley Elementary School students will once again join millions of students around the globe for the Hour of Code. Over 658,382,155 students have participated. This year there are 189,305 registered events worldwide.

Computer Science Education Week
This year Computer Science education week is the week of December 3-7. Why do we have a CS ed week? To celebrate the birthday of computing pioneer Admiral Grace Murray Hopper (December 9, 1906), of course. Who??? Grace Hopper.
Why is computer science important?
Why is computer science important? Computers have become ubiquitous. They are everywhere! They're in your pocket, in your car, in the hospitals, on the farms. We count on computers for so many aspects of our lives. But, we all know that someone- maybe you- has to learn how to program these computers, how to create and invent with technology to make things better for all. That's why I think computer science is important... to help others.
