Degree Works is a web-based degree auditing tool that provides a clear, convenient method to track educational plan progress, to prepare for registration, and to plan for graduation.
Degree Works will be used by students, staff and faculty.
Degree Works can be accessed from Navigate. In Navigate, select a student and on the right side of the student profile page select Degree Works from the Links box (see image below). This is also where HACC's Degree Work training site can be found.
Currently Degree Works will bring in any student who has taken a class in the past two years. If their program of study is not available in Degree Works you will see a message telling you to use CAPP. If the student is not in Degree Works at all you will not see any information for that student, please contact Navigators@hacc.edu with the student's HACC ID.
All programs from the Fall 2018 onwards have their requirements scribed in Degree Works
Resources are available to help staff create plans here. If you need further assistance please contact Navigators@hacc.edu
Yes! Please refer to the glossary page.
Yes, continue to run Degree Evaluations for students while utilizing Degree Works for now. This will eventually be phased out and only Degree Works will be needed. Any student prior to catalog year 2018/2019 will also need to rely on CAPP.
Exceptions and adjustments made in CAPP have not yet been entered into Degree Works. For example, you may have worked with a student to submit a subwaiver for an ART ELECT to meet the Humanities and Arts requirement. This may have been entered in CAPP but not show in Degree Works. Currently graduations are confirmed in CAPP but this will change to Degree Works once issues such as this are resolved.
Students will need to register from myHACC, but Degree Works can assist in determining the courses for which a student registers.
If you notice any issues, please complete this form. Some issues are being corrected as well i.e. when viewing a student's profile in Degree Works the college is listed as fall instead of HACC.
