Welcome to 7th grade Medical Magnet Science! This year we will be focusing on using science and engineering practices to demonstrate content knowledge. We will be learning about some very interesting and challenging topics. The four core areas include:
Interactions of Matter Vol. 1 - Chemistry
Interactions of Matter Vol. 2 - Energy
Interactions within Ecosystems Vol. 1 - Ecology
Interactions within Ecosystems Vol. 2 - Environmental Impacts

Medical Magnet Elective
7th Grade Overview
Students will be completing a semester long course through Project Lead the Way called Design & Modeling. This course is geared to help students discover the design process and understand the influence of creativity and innovation in their lives. Students will take all the skills they have learned throughout the course to create a therapeutic toy for a patient with cerebral palsy.
8th Grade Overview
Students will be completing a year long course called Emergency Medical Services (EMS 1). This class is designed to teach students how to recognize and respond to various emergencies by learning basic anatomy and physiology as it relates to injury management and treatment. This class will count as a high school credit for students that receive a passing grade.
